Unfortunately the new Album is rather disappointing, compared to the brilliant stunning albums in the past years. Maybe my expectations where to high. It doesn’t seem to be a Dead Can Dance Album, I really do miss the presence of the most beautiful voice of Lisa Gerrard. It’s quite confusing to hear the voices of choral singers. This seems to be more a Brendan Perry Project with Lisa is a Guest singer with a little part. Anyway Dead Can Dance was and will always be my very favorite Band …… just except this Album.

As much as I have loved many of the albums since the 1980's, this one ... no. This album would be a good soundtrack to a National Geographic documentary, but lacks so much of what amazed me in the past. What happened??

Enttäuschung und Begeisterung liegen nah beieinander. Leider ist für mich persönlich Lisas Stimme das Hauptinstrument. 2-3 mal Ayeee Ayaaa und etwas mehr in Psycho ist ein recht dürftiger Einsatz. Bleibt zu hoffen, dass sie bei den Konzerten eine größere Rolle spielt.
